Daily support...
Support is the attention, love, respect, understanding, guidance,
and most importantly extra help you receive from another person. Daily support I receive is the attention and
extra help. My husband helps me raise my son.
He is very supportive with that. Grocery list, daily task list, and
posted notes are my other support. My family (mom, dad, sister, brother in-law
(bff) and other lifelong friends are my true support emotionally. My husband is
more physical and practical support. If someone in my family died that I was
close to then I would need a lot of support. This challenge is calls for all
forms of support; emotionally, practically, physically, financially.
Support is a huge part of being in the early childhood
field. Support is given to teachers from
administration. Support is also given
from the teachers to the parents and family. Support is also given to classroom
from another classroom. Support is given
from teacher to teacher (co teachers and assistants).
Zena,
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle when I read your post about post it notes. How did we ever survive before post it notes. I have them on files for work letting me know what needs to be done on that file, etc. Also, I liked the way you demonstrated how support is a ripple effect. It starts at home or with administrators and goes to the families and children and then from classroom to classroom. I never thought of support that way but you are so correct. Sometimes teachers want to live in their own world and will not help other teachers but how wonderful when everyone can help each other.
I enjoyed the sticky note statement myself. I am a person who has to write things down as well. We have many forms of support, even if it comes in the form of sticky notes.
ReplyDeleteYour idea of support is very close to mine! My family and friends are such a big part of my life and without them, life would be too difficult to imagine.
